Auto would be my guess, aperture too wide / exposure too long
What would be your recommendations?
I’ll have one last stab tonight I think, totally bolluxed last nights lot.

There certainly are plenty of rough beasts to be found slouching around Belco on the weekend. I’m not really up to approaching them to ask them what they are though. 🙂
No need to ask:

Depends if you’re trying to expose only for the moon, or for everything else in the scene. Looks like a pretty good compromise to me. And the “star” effect on the moon and other lights suggests that the aperture was far from “wide open”.

What settings did you use?
Tried a bit of everything really, I’m not technically competent.
Tried long exposures, (didn’t work, that moon is FAST!)
Tried pushing the asa to the limit, tried in camera HDR.
I’ll be taking a look at them this am.

But where will they find three wise men in Belco?
About as much chance of finding a virgin one would think.
