ACT Policing has suspended the licence of a Calwell man caught drink driving more than four times over the legal limit last night (Friday, July 26).
Around 7.30pm, police were conducting mobile traffic patrols on Outrim Avenue, Calwell when they stopped a vehicle and conducted a breath test on the driver and received a positive reading.
The 44-year-old was transported to the Tuggeranong Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis, returning a Blood Alcohol Centration (BAC) reading of 0.222 (over four times the legal limit).
The man’s ACT Driver’s licence was immediately suspended and he will face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
