Holden Caulfield has sent in this street art from the Lyneham shops.
Does Danger Mouse still run on TV?
UPDATED: As luck would have it Mike Crowther took some pictures (with the artist’s permission) while it was being made.

So much better than the mindless and ubiquitous ‘tagging’. Wish there was more of it.
Second that it’s not the same piece in the slideshow.
The one in the slideshow was being worked on when I visited Lyneham recently. Not sure if they got a grant/permission to do it but I would think they did. These guys looked like they were just waiting for someone to challenge them on the legality of it so they could produce their letter from TAMS. There were a few fully sik cars parked there with empty beer bottles resting on top and what looked like gangstas in hoodies loitering around. Didn’t give off the air of professionals but they had taped the area to ensure public safety.
I’m all for it – and have noticed there’s been a lot of new work going up lately. The wall in Garema near the old JB has also been recently painted in a jungle theme.
The piece in that slide show, while very good, is not the same artwork.

OMG, I WANT that on the side of my garage! I’m lucky enough to have the Danger Mouse DVD (series 1) picked up in the kids section (harumph!) of Revolution CD Woden 2 years ago and the other day I saw “retro style” DM T-shirts for $24 at Big W.
Bwwaaaahaaa! I want Dangermouse DVDs! I also have a fence at home where that mural would be perfect. How much would it cost to have done and who would do it? More importantly, who would convince my wife to let me have it done?
Dangermouse is the greatest. The only other superhero that comes close is The Tick.
Sure ‘The Tick’ is American but the cast of characters (Die Fledermouse, American Maid, Sewer Urchin, Mighty Agrippa – Roman God of the Aqueduct, Paul the Samuri and Bumbling Bee, to name a few) as well as the premise are hilarious.

BerraBoy makes an excellent case. Worth pursuing with ABC Kids. They show some good programs, but others just aren’t as good as some of the good old shows like Danger Mouse and Astro Boy (to name just two examples).
More of this. Canberra should run the gauntlet and become the mural city.
JB asks “Does Dangermouse still run on TV?” As far as i’m aware, no. But he bloody wel should! after all….
He’s the greatest,
He’s fantastic,
Wherever there is danger he’ll be there!
Hes the ace,
He’s amazing,
He’s the strongest, he’s the quickest, he’s the best!
Dangermouse,
Dangermouse,
Dangermouse!
And was there ever a better sidekick that Penfold?!
If I was using a newer monitor at a higher res, the image would appear smaller. For a photo where the content is obvious low-res is fine, but often images on here have intricate detail that gets lost when the resolution is dropped and the highres isnt available.
Cool artwork though, either way.

My screen is 1024×768 and that picture is small on my screen. I cant imagine how small it must appear for those of you with 21″ monitors. Ive noticed this before a few times, images being shown which seem low quality/resolution. Any chance of getting full-sized images linked somehow?
For numerous reasons we’d prefer you sort out your monitor settings.
I’m working on a 21″ monitor right now.
