I am all in for a bit of slap and tickle. Is the hotel in the centre of town the sort of place I frequent?

Queanbeyan.

They tried naming it after Queen Victoria, but forgot they never learned how to read or write… somehow they got ‘Quean’, the ‘beyan’ is from how they were all saying how it was ‘beyond’ them to spell ‘Victoria’.

I’m kidding people. Seriously though, driving from the Inner North to Queanbeyan would cost more in lovely refined oil/wear & tear on the car, than it would to park for 30min . If not waste an hour of your life driving all that way and back again.

I love QBN too.
