Hazard reduction burn tonight on Kings Hwy, Kowen
The ACT Rural Fire Service (ACT RFS) Jerrabomberra Brigade will conduct a hazard reduction burn tonight from 6pm till 10pm, Thursday 31 March, 2011 weather permitting on the property of “Murryong” on the Kings Hwy, Kowen Forest.
The burn will be conducted to assist the land owner in the removal of accumulated fuel, and will be a joint operation with the NSW Rural Fire Service Bungendore Brigade.
Four tankers and 20 personnel will conduct the burn of five medium piles covering a total area of approx half a hectare.
