We had three good dumps throughout the day yesterday in Murrumbateman, the pups were going crazy running through the snow, was very funny 🙂
It let up long enough for me to go outside an clean the chooks, but started sleeting again within minutes – stupid chooks were soaking wet standing out in the sleet!

Weatherzone is where weather-heads can quickly report on what’s happening as it happens, and can post their shots instantly, so there tends to be more of them! The shots I took of the flakes falling this morning weren’t worthy, and teh lense got splattered with white spots, so I didn’t post them anywhere.
I thought that it was the same username!
wasn’t certain, and wasn’t going to stick my head up at the weatherzone site to have a mod thump me.
Driving back from the Wombeyan Caves area this afternoon and we found ourselves in several short-lived blizzards all the way to Goulburn. The snow settled widely, but not thickly. We went through almost as many sunny patches as snowy patches.
After reading about the snow we went for a drive along Two Sticks Rd. I can’t seem to get an image here. Emailed instead.
The snow was beautiful this morning, not for my son, however who had a game of football on, didn’t stop him scoring a couple of tries though…
it was snowing in calwell at around 9amish.
..did it snow this afternoon? i was inside at work, and couldnt see it. damn. 🙁
Just beautiful watching it here in the Weston Creek area.
Ran into to get the digital camera only to find the kids hadn’t recharged the batteries since they last used it. Sob!
BOM radar shows two more bands of precipitation approaching from the west. One is over Adelong/Tumut and another must be close to the Brindies by now. Temp at Mt Ginini is dropping which is promising!
Kambah got about half hours in total worth but not enough to settle on the ground. It was still exciting enough to get the kids dressed up warm and out of the house catching snowflakes.
Im in Weston Creek, and it showed here… Confused the crap out of me though! Has been years since this last happened… Well, since I last noticed…
ABC News has produced an article in relation to this meteorological event:

shortcut to reports from today (on that forum, they group weather events by date, so we’ve been discussing this event for a few days).

Some reports from Canberrans in there, and plenty of pix.
The ABC radio site for Canberra often gets pixtures up from listeners pretty quick, too.
Yep, plenty of snow all around the region since the early hours, and the coldest part of the system is still heading towards us. Plenty of pix and reports at:

I had about 2 hours of swirling flakes from 9am. Next lot is rolling in. Check one poster’s pictures of Batlow this morning.
My friends around Tuggeranong reported a light snow cover – and described it as being quite spectacular.
But it’s not looking good for today’s Raiders game at Canberra Stadium. The cold and miserable conditions will deter many supporters from attending the game.
