I just wanna know how one becomes a janitor because Andrew here is very interested in pursuing a career in the custodial arts.
I have never been employed by a school, so no, not ever been a janitor. I do know its a highly sought after job though and quite hard to get a job as one.

Could be collecting, or providing change for the tuckshop/canteen. Or a school fete/event that has collected money.

The same company probably is the one that picks up all the poker machine takings lost by working families at the ACT Labor Clubs and delivers them to the ACT Labor re-election fund.
Hey, Shane Rattenbury was educated at Canberra Grammar – perhaps he has donated some of his electoral allowance to the old boy’s society and this is it being delivered.
I’m sure you will find plenty of ex-students on the conservative side of politics too, Mr Anti-Labor!
All that money should be spent on our woefully underfunded public school system, waaaaaah.

Though I find it impossible to believe that people would pay fees in cash.
This. Surely most fees would get paid via direct deposit from those nice little banks in the Caymans?

Why? A business possibly providing a service to a school is gross to you? Strange.
No, grammer school and anything asociated with it is gross.

Yeah, something to do with Gonski.
Q&A last night…
Turnbull: Where is money coming from for Gonski and how much will the miners pay this year?
Rudd:
I’m pleased that my daughter’s school is introducing the ability to pay fees electronically. That is definitely a situation where risk is minimised through technology. Though I find it impossible to believe that people would pay fees in cash.
Is there an ATM at Grammar? That would explain the van.

And of course it’s Grammar. Good Ol’ Boys club, damn I hate that school.
Minimising risk.

I know of one education facility here in town that takes over $600k in cash enrolment week.

Might be a Working Family doing that apparently-now-essential school drop-off.
They operate a business. If I owned the same value of real estate that they do then I would want a healthy return on my investment also. If they make the money then good luck to them.
Different dayand age! In the late 40s we had a banking day at school. The
teacher had a deposit slip and our threepenny deposits were duly recorded.
The money and deposit slip was given to one us who had bike to take to the local postoffice for deposit.
The tuck shop operated in a similar manner, a kid was tasked to take the money to the postoffice.
