Looking to add some love (and a little bit of fun) to your life? Meet this week’s Pets of the Week – a confident Staffy pup and a quirky pair of guinea pigs who are all ready to find their forever homes.

Dog of the Week: Cleopatra

With her striking brindle pattern and bright eyes, Cleopatra, affectionately known as Cleo, is as stunning as her royal namesake. But it’s not just her good looks that turn heads. This young Staffy pup is bursting with confidence, cleverness and boundless energy.

Cleo is a social butterfly who loves other dogs and thrives in play. She’s already off to a great start with her toilet training and is looking for a family who can continue to guide her as she grows into her paws.

While Cleo takes the spotlight this week, RSPCA ACT is also working hard to find homes for two large litters of puppies currently available. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the perfect time.

Guinea Pigs of the Week: Henning and Ziggy Stardust

Meet Henning and Ziggy Stardust, a sweet, bonded pair of long-haired guinea pigs looking for a calm and loving forever home. These boys were surrendered to the shelter when their previous owner could no longer care for them.

Shy by nature, Henning and Ziggy will need a patient family willing to give them time and space to settle in and build trust. A home with older children or kids who have previous guinea pig experience would suit them best.

The pair will need a spacious indoor hutch where they can enjoy both playtime and quiet time. Regular brushing is a must to keep their lovely coats in top condition. As a bonded duo, they must be adopted together, and they’ll need to be the only guinea pigs in the household.

Pawnote: Last week’s cat of the week Gertude has been adopted.
