A recent trip onto Google maps shows that there is more recent higher res images of much of Canberra. My guess is around late March, but open to fellow RiotACTers to work out the when

The route planner doesn’t seem to know about the GDE yet though.
It does now! I’ve just tried a route from Gungahlin to the parkway and it chooses the GDE. As of a couple of weeks ago it didn’t even show on the maps.
Also fixed recently are Majura road (it showed on the map but was broken in the middle for the route planner so couldn’t be used) and Discovery Drive, Tidbinbilla
“Interestingly, my car is both at my place as well as at my dads!”
Coooooool. Now, I just KNOW I can’t be the only one here thinking this could be used to get away with murder…
I reckon it is late March, my new house is finished but the landscaping hasn’t been done which happened in early April
Wow, that’s quite an increase in resolution. I can make out individual clumps of dead grass in my yard.
Does anyone remember exactly when the ‘Roo Cull happened? ‘Cause this looks a lot like the fences they put up for that…
Seems to have been updated in certain pasts of gunghalin too – you can see the deck at my parents under construction – and teh fact that we now have laserlite on our decking.
Phillip area definetly taken on a sunday… trash and treasure markets… http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=phillip+act&ie=UTF8&ll=-35.348349,149.085472&spn=0.001818,0.003133&t=h&z=19
Calwell must of been re-done around march.
I still find it hilarious, that my car is now at home, work, and school. all at the same time!! hehe!
(But, i can safely say, my work hasnt been updated since november, thankyou construction works giving it away! :D)
I can place it either the last week of February or the first week of March as I can see a diesel spill on the road that happened when the fuel tank fell off a garbage truck in my neighbourhood on the 19th February.
If you scroll down GDE past Aranda there is an older wedge that they must not have had a new image for. I haven’t seen how up to date Civic is but its nice to know they will get updated from time to time.
Thanks kindly mod
No change around our part of Gungahlin – still at least 2 yrs old.

Cameron, yeah, it’s street view that’s live.
Yeah and there is top secret Area 51 type super complex under Lawson and all those cat-eyes on the roads are where google has put its secret wi-fi cameras
Yeah, I noticed that a week ago, I worked out that it was a Sunday (for a lot of Canberra), in March this year, and that one of my friends cars it outside my place.
Sorry the the link I meant to include is not what came up. Can a kindly admin use this instead GDE
Yes, I sincerely apologise for the bad joke, but if I didn’t do it someone else around here would have.
