ACT Policing has arrested two women following a disturbance yesterday afternoon (Sunday, December 2).
Around 5.40pm police were called to a disturbance at a house in Campbell where a teenage girl had been assaulted by two women. The women also allegedly damaged the house, before driving away in a Holden Commodore.
The teenager was taken to Calvary Hospital by ACT Ambulance Service for treatment of injuries sustained during the assault.
A short time later police received a report of a man being hit by a car on Limestone Avenue. The car is alleged to have been the Holden Commodore the women were seen driving away from the Campbell house.
The man received first aid treatment for injuries to his leg.
After an extensive search the two women were arrested by police in Braddon and taken to the ACT Watch House.
A 21-year-old Campbell woman is expected to be charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, driving while disqualified and possessing an offensive weapon.
A 18-year-old Campbell woman is expected to be charged with damage property, assault, possessing a knife and furious/reckless/dangerous driving.
They are expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Monday, December 3), where bail will be opposed by police.
