ABC is reporting the death of a woman in a car in South Canberra.
“grisly” seems a little sensational for Aunty!
Streeton Drive was apparently closed for some time.
RiotACTers know any more?
UPDATED: Reports are now “No suspicious circumstances”.

Is it just me, or has a lot of this kind of thing been happening lately? Or perhaps this is the only newsworthy topic the media have to report on these days?!
That is just unbelievably painful, BerraBoy68. It reminds me of that poor mother in the war memorial who had five sons and lost them all. Who can bear such a thing?
In 1983 I lost two brothers aged (17 and 26) two months apart. Nothing surprises me any more in terms of death. My surviving brother and I laugh at the fact that for years in our family living past 26 was a 50:50 proposition. That said 51 does seem still quite young. She’d have a family and they have my sympathies.
Yes. Fifty-one isn’t much older than I am. I guess when your time is up it’s up. Kind of depressing though ….
I feel sorry for the poor passerby that found her. It’s nice to know there’s enough community spirit left in Canberra that somebody actually checks if they see if something’s going on with a person in a car like that.
she died of natural causes: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/10/26/2401353.htm
