Parliament House has tweeted on the exact timing of its dissolution:

So if the minister’s office are being arses you:

a) have to do what they say for the rest of today

b) can maybe get away with sandbagging until 5.30pm

Antony Green has posted a picture of an election writ. They’re not scrolls, but they do have a wax seal and much use of Fraktur script.

Some interesting decisions, and appointments, in the next few hours and then for the heavy-duty shredding. I think we need a Myles Peterson piece on this afternoon’s entertaining activities – that would kick things along nicely.
