ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred last night (Thursday, June 14), which left a woman with serious injuries.
The collision occurred around 11.40pm on Ginninderra Drive, between Kingsford Smith Drive and Companion Crescent in Latham.
A white Toyota Corolla sedan was travelling west on Ginninderra Drive when it veered left off the roadway and collided with a tree. The male driver was able to free himself from the vehicle however his female passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle by ACT Fire and Rescue.
The man and woman were treated by ACT Ambulance Service at the scene and then taken to The Canberra Hospital. The woman suffered serious internal injuries and multiple bone fractures and is undergoing surgery.
ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision.
