Floriade…how awesome. When does it finish? Getting across the bridge is a nightmare. I went to Floriade. More shops than flowers.
Should have been onto this earlier, but in case there are any seats left and anyone interested in a big night for a big cause with some great music featuring DJ and the KarismaKatz.

Good luck to all involved.
In local theatre:
Canberra Rep’s production of Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” (yep, the non-singing, somewhat more cynical version of “My Fair Lady” – with a different ending, too) plays tonight and Saturday at 8, with a matinee at 2pm tomorrow and a twilight performance at 5pm. Also plays next week Thurs-Sat. Tickets and bookings available Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm from the Day Box Office 6257 1950. Door sale tickets available from the venue Box Office one hour before each performance. Tickets $34/$25 evenings, $22 for the matinee and twilight.
Impro ACT presents “Law and Disorder” at the Street theatre this sunday at 7:30 – the local impro team is joined by two LA-based performers with hefty improvisation credentials for a lot of making stuff up as they go along. Tickets are $18/15 concession – call 6247 1223 to book…
Moonlight (ANU drama) presents David Mamet’s “Oleanna” – when a male professor is accused of sexual harassment by a female student, all hell breaks loose in typical Mametian style – performances at 7:30 tonight and tomorrow night at the ANU Arts Centre, $15-12
Sigh! Plumbers have the worst plumbing, mechanics allegedly struggle to keep their own vehicles on the road, and publicists forget to spruik themselves.
My contract for Triva in the Trams at the Tra dies Club in Dickson has been extended for another six weeks.
Be brave: come out on a school night. $200 worth of cash, dining and spot prize vouchers. Games, a bit of fun, Overheard’s amateur stand-up bolshoi, schinties and other good food, cheap-ish drinks, some regulars, lots of blow-ins (like the golfers from Cumberland, plus itinerants from Sydney and Ballarat who made it the biggest night I’ve had to date last Monday — good fun and heckles a plenty; hecklers are the life-blood of the host/MC!)
Rego from 7pm, quiz kicks off at 7.30pm on the dot and is over by 9.15-ish.
Questions cover the gamut from ads to glossy mags to music to current events to whatever the hell takes my fancy! There’s a special subject for next Monday but I’ll be farnarkled if I can remember what it is right now…. I may have to phone a friend.
There’s a combined swap meet, American Car show and a ute show at the Qbn showground on Sat and Sunday.

Loquaciousness and myself will be seeing The Feldons @ The Front this evening (so long as we don’t fall asleep first, since they’re not playing till late)
Plans for my (Thurs)day/night keep changing on an hourly basis, so I may see you guys there at some point (the Front). I may also pop into the ABN for Sims. I am spoilt for choice with two choir practices but I can barely remember my name at the moment, let alone the words to ‘The Ballad of 1891’ or ‘Green Like Me’.
To other matters. On Friday there’s stuff at the Merry Muse: Duke Baritone and the Swamp Dogs plus Doctor Stovepipe. Polish White Eagle Club, Turner from 7pm. All the good oil is at http://www.merrymuse.org.au $15/$10.
On Friday there’s also stuff at the Folkus Room. A bloke named Eric Bogle (who could go far in the folk industry, I believe) plus Ami Williamson (whose father John also appears to have a bright future if he can only get some exposure). Follow your web search nose to The Folkus Room for more details. $30/$28.
On Friday, the Karismakatz are doing stuff at the Soul Bar in Woden. BE THERE!
That’s a lot of stuff. I have other stuff, but for now I am totally stuffed.
I’m stuffing off.
REV at Bar 32 Friday night…………..Anyone?
Come on, you know you want to 🙂
