Chief Minister Gallagher is encouraging the community to register centenary events on a central calendar:

“This is the place for the people of Canberra and the region to showcase any activities—no matter how large or small—that are being organised to celebrate the Centenary in 2013.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the calendar being filled over the coming months with the huge variety of events that will allow all Australians to proudly celebrate and share in the Centenary of our city,” the Chief Minister said.

The calendar is available on the recently refreshed Centenary of Canberra website, which lists program information and opportunities to ‘get involved’, and which will be steadily updated over the coming months in the lead-up to the major program launch in September 2012.

Individuals, businesses and community organisations planning an event or project are also invited to download a special new ‘Centenary Celebration’ logo to use to promote their activities.
