seeing it was in Gilmore, and close to my place, we didn’t even worry about it, and I was in kambah when the 03 fires came through… 03 was a big deal, this one wasn’t that big a deal for us, more concerned when some moron set the grass alight at gilmore primary…
Well what would I know as I now live in Cairns, but I was here during the 03 fires and workin for dept of housing. Please never make light of these situations. My daughter lives in Richardson and took off with her 3 little girls when they saw flames, good move with the prevailing conditions.

I saw the smoke from Sulwood Drive in Kambah, but from there it looked like it was right on the edge of a pine forest (possibly the one on the over side of the Monaro Highway to Chisholm. It didn’t look like much of a fire though.
