As seen in Bruce, one of the more baffling parking signs to grace our city:

“Surely this is acceptable to the garbos and means parking doesn’t have to be restricted on a random weekday?
Comment by GnT — 31 May, 2007 @ 7:51 pm “
It’s not random, it’s every thursday, selected for the fact that it’s bin day.
would be a funnier sign if the “Thursday” was replaced with “Today”, and would also better fit the title of this thread…
*OH MY GOD* It can’t be, it, it just can’t be, my eyes must be deceiving me.
That sign has no exemptions. No “Public Holidays exempt”, no ” Between 7am and 5pm”. So even if the bins are not out on public holidays or before 7 or after 5… we still can’t park their.
The horror.
I thought it was strange too, but your bin theory makes sense.
I’ve seen other places (in Sydney) where residents have to put their bins on the road in between the parked cars. Surely this is acceptable to the garbos and means parking doesn’t have to be restricted on a random weekday?
