Jobs in Gungahlin

It would make a lot of sense to locate these facilities in places like Gungahlin. So many people seem to live there now anyway. I’m always seeing addrsses with suburb names I have NO idea the location of!

Anything that’s not Civic is good. The sooner that reverts to a shopping/eating/entertainment/living precinct the better.

Agreed on the market place. How many latte lovers will want to enjoy a cup of coffee sitting in the wind tunnel between the Big Dub/Woolies centres from now until December?

Sorry I dont know how this posting stuff really works.

Anyway, it is in todays CT page 2.

APK was open ages ago, like 6 years, tehn closed for ages, opened a few months ago for a few months and then closed again. I mostly dont go tot marketplace anymore anyway, coles woolies debate is much of a muchness for me, but the clincher is the basement parking coles has. Park near th elift and shopping is a breeze.

Have you guys counted how many mobile phone stores there are there?

If Billy Baxters took less than an hour to serve a hamburger and chips at lunchtime I might consider going back. Woeful service, and the food was rubbish too. ‘Wok it up’ on the other hand are great. Tasty noodle box style chow with a loyalty program. Instant winner in my book.

I too have marvelled at the amount of coffee shops around the ‘place and how they all plan on surviving… Has anyone else noticed that APK and the kids clothes store have both closed already? The latter had only been open a matter of 2-3 months.

While I’m on the subject, whose brainwave was it to build market-style retail plazas anyway. I mean in the middle of a frigid winter if you had the choice of traversing the streets in the cold to do your shopping, or going to a mall and swanning around in heated comfort; which would you choose?

In the end perhaps the coffee shops may hope to draw the frozen masses from the cold for a hot cup of java?

The Aldi builders seem to be keeping them going at the moment. If they bothered to be open after 6pm I’d walk up on many occasions to get a coffee on a cold night.

I haven’t heard that, but I was wondering who was going to keep the Coffee Club, Billy Baxters, the soon to open Starbucks and and other coffee shop all open and going over the cold winter months…
