Police arrested two Kambah men, a 20-year-old and a 29-year-old following the assault of a police officer last night (Sunday, December 2).
Police attended Chirnside Circuit in Kambah following reports of men riding ‘pocket’ bikes in the street.
Upon arrival they witnessed a man riding a ‘pocket’ bike without a helmet at speed up the street and into the back yard.
When an officer went to speak to one of the men he was assaulted.
A second man attempted to stop police from apprehending the first, and was also taken into custody.
The first offender has been charged with three counts of common assault, obstructing a territory official and several traffic offences. The second offender was charged with common assault and obstructing a territory official.
