A man was allegedly held at gunpoint and left in a remote location in New South Wales with police arresting the offender on Tuesday afternoon (9 July).
ACT Policing allege that sometime on Monday (8 July) a man was threatened and assaulted at a residence in Charnwood. The victim was then driven to a residence in Melba, where he was again threatened and assaulted.
The victim was then allegedly held at gunpoint and subsequently taken to a vehicle and driven to a remote location in New South Wales, where the offender left him.
Police enquiries into the incident led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Charnwood, where police arrested a 30-year-old man.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with serious offences including threat to kill, forcible confinement, assault, make demand with threat to kill and possess offensive weapon.
