The Canberra Times is all excited that the Raiders are playing the Knights tonight.
Anyone have any views on Monday night football or this game in particular?

In regard to the whole Monday Night Footy – not a fan of all the whingers complaining about teams ‘backing up and playing too early’ Some feel that teams playing on a Monday night shouldn’t play until the following Sunday. Experts say this is the reason the Sharks lost to the Rabbitohs. I can understand not making teams play Monday night and then Friday night but please whats the difference between playing Monday night then Saturday, and playing on Sunday then a Friday night clash. If teams win on the day it because they played better than the other team, not because they had 1 less rest day between matches. The Titans also lost their match and they played on the Sunday! Naturally im a Rabbitohs supporter but its great to see teams like the Bunnies winning and others like the Roosters and the Bulldogs losing. I just wish people would stop making up excuses and blaming Monday night football on their team losing. Its a great addition to the NRL and i hope people keep supporting Monday night footy, not dissing it.
Any teams coming to Canberra expecting to win easy, will go home sorry
How good were Dobson and Carney? They dominated proceedings from the word go. And the Mighty Raiders triumphed despite another crap game from the Ref. I saw his game last week and it was abysmal as well. Newcastle spent the just about the whole game offside. But i digress. Go the raiders
8,000 saw the 7pm kick off with 5,000 still trying to buy a ticket.
As far as the game went, seems Joey had forgotten who he was playing for and the Raiders turned up for the full game for a change. Maybe they won’t win the wooden spoon.
$20 for the cheapest adult ticket is crap. I would go if I didn’t have to fork out $28 for me and my son to go.
The Raiders always go well against the Knights, even when the Knights are playing well, and the Raiders are going terrible, (round 3 last year excluded). I think it will be a lot closer than everyone thinks. Ill be there cheering on the Green Machine.
That’s two losses Ralph – one for the Raiders, and one for being on bloody pay-pay-pay TV…
