Looking for love, loyalty and a new family member? Meet this week’s special pets, Leeroy and Gadget.
Cat of the Week: Leeroy
Lovely Leeroy is our current resident elderly gent with all the politeness, maturity and charm you might expect from a nine-year-old cat.
Whatever Leeroy has been doing in his life, he has done it well, and now it’s time for him to find his leisurely retirement home. Somewhere nice and quiet – it’s what he deserves.
Leeroy will be great company, keeping fairly quiet but always on hand to remind you that you’re not alone. He’ll move in for a cuddle every now and then or spend his days in that sunny spot by the window.
Come and visit Leeroy the housecat; he’ll love to meet you. If you have a calm, elderly cat with a similar, laid-back approach to life, they should get along fine.

Dog of the Week: Gadget
Gadget is one of our favourites at the shelter right now, because she’s just so warm, loving and affectionate. She just loves people.
A visit to Gadget’s kennel will see you experience a gleeful welcome full of pats, wiggles and abundant joy that you’re here.
She also likes to walk off and grab one of her toys to show you, too. It’s like she’s trying to impress you, as if to say, “Together we’ll both be happy forever.” She’s right, you know.
The thing you’ll notice early on, aside from her warm personality, is her ears! Look at them! As a classic hound mix, they’re pointy and always ready to prick up and hear you calling her name.
Drop by and see Gadget; you’ll love her instantly, and she’ll cling to you from the start. A home with another medium-sized or large dog might suit Gadget, too, but let’s meet first.

Frankie and Johnny are sweethearts … but they’ll need room to roam.
Pawnotes: Our Maremmas, who featured here last week, are still looking for a home. Come and visit them if you have a large space for them to roam; they’ll adore you forever.
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
