Cat of the Week: Peppermint

This little lady could easily be mistaken for a kitten, given her slight frame. She’s a polite girl weighing just over 3 kg, despite being three years old.

She’s healthy and happy, but put plain and simple, she’s little. Our cattery team has warmed to her, and vice versa, very quickly, and she loves a snuggle.

Peppermint is also energetic, so in between lounging around and taking cuddles, she might hit the overdrive button and perform some zoomies. It’s a lot of fun.

She’s a ready-to-go pet; however, Peppermint will need her own home, as she’s not too keen on other cats. But when you meet her, you’ll most likely want her all to yourself anyway!

Come and meet Peppermint today.

Dog of the Week: Willow

The delightful Willow would love to meet you. It’s just that at first, it might not look like it. She’s very shy. At first.

You’ll walk by her kennel, and she’ll be at the back, being a little unsure, before she comes forward. But it’s merely a short meet and greet before she transforms before your eyes into a friendly dog.

Willow is seven years old and very clever, as you’d expect with a working breed Kelpie. She knows many commands and has received excellent training, but she’ll happily learn more.

In her ideal home, she’ll be the only dog and surrounded by a family, older children and a consistent amount of love, attention and exercise.

When you visit the shelter, ask to meet Willow, and soon you’ll see the wonderful pet she is destined to be.

Pawnotes: This week at RSPCA ACT, kittens became available for adoption. This is very like that one raindrop you feel shortly before a massive storm hits.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
