Police say about 20 brawlers took part in Anzac Day fight

About 20 brawlers became involved in a major fight in central Canberra on Anzac Day (25 April), and police are now calling for witnesses or footage of the incident.

Police arrived after about 20 people started fighting in a car park behind a hospitality venue in Turner at about 6 pm that evening.

One person’s ankle was broken during the fight and they had to be taken to hospital.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward,” an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
