Not sure many would say we were a ‘one man team’ beforehand – The Cowboys have that distinction if anyone has. The season all comes down to next Sunday, should be an enjoyable day.
I’m not a league fan and the last game I attended (out of curiosity) was here in about 1989. That said, I am hoping the Raiders do will this year for a couple of reasons.
1. It’s always nice when a Canberra team does well; and
2. The Raiders proving they’re more than the supposed ‘one man team’ since Carney was tossed out.
They already seem to have done well this year so far from what I know about the game – which isn’t much!
Our injury toll finally caught up with us.
The Dragons have now leapfrogged us on the table, and we’re in 7th. Our best possible finish after the final round next weekend will be 6th. Lets hope we make it there, because there’s a distinct advantage between 6th and 7th in the first week of the finals. If 7th loses in the first final, end of season. If 6th loses, they get a second chance if both 7th and 8th lose too.
The Knights beating Melbourne means they’re now sniffing around us too.
