If you’re free this lunch and opposed to child beauty pageants then we’ve got the rally for you on the Parliament House lawns starting at 12.
If you want to know more the protest organisers have got a lengthy document which I’ve put online.

Don’t expect to achieve much. Paedophiles in the ACT only get weekend detention lasting a year. Why should they shut down beauty pageants?
Which convicted paedophile recieved weekend detention?

I think these kiddy pageants are repulsive. Paedophiles must love them – wonder if the parents ever think.
I fixed that for you.
Kids beauty pageants: the domain of the bossy, brainless, bogan mother.
The basic problem is under-achieving idiotic parents who have the hang-ups and are compensating for their own shortfalls via their own kids which is absolutely pathetic…

The woman who injected her 8 year-old daughter with Botox for beauty pageants has lost custody of her daughter.
The child didn’t look surprised.
LOL!

Apparently it was all a ‘media stunt’ – regardless, it is repulsive to put little kids through that.

Beauty pageants are tacky, and they seem to be dying a natural death. I think these folks must have too much time on their hands.

Just took my daughter up there for the excitement. She had a ball, she even won the “Little Miss Rally against Beauty pagents” beauty pagent. She looked so happy up there (thanks Botox).
😀 LOL. Good one.
Seriously though – bloody good idea. These abominations should be classed as child abuse.
Another bandwagon, though I agree that beauty pageants are pretty exploitative and are generally tacky.

I agree with what the protesters are saying, but don’t we have enough restrictive laws? And aren’t there way more important issues to address?
Like Australian pensioners and war vets doing it extremely tough, money that should be going to them goes to decked out motels for ‘asylum seekers’ who get here illegally. That is an issue worth a good protest.
Some of us are clever, intelligent and able enough to protest/object to more than one wrong, and not fall over/brain fart/lose the plot due the complexity of this.
You are obviously not.

Way to go to steer this totally off topic.

Precisely who are the ‘asylum seekers who get here illegally’?

I tend to agree. I understand why people don’t like pageants (I’m not a big fan, either), but in my opinion it rates pretty far down on the list of priorities in this country.
