Set on a 2 ha block just outside Bodalla, 160 Eurobodalla Road presents a stunning century-old home surrounded by vibrant gardens.

Holm Park was built in 1924. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom house was lovingly brought back to life by its current owner, with the help of local craftsmen.

Original features have been carefully preserved and now stand alongside the expected modern comforts. Vintage furniture, plantation shutters and quality hardwood floors all speak of an age long since passed.

Sales agent Steve Hutcheson of LJ Hooker Narooma says Holm Park is one of Bodalla’s most distinguished properties.

“Walking into Holm Park feels like stepping back in time,” he says.

“Some features are obvious, like the huge 10-foot ceilings, but others are more subtle. I love the detail found in coloured glass panels above the windows and doors.”

Upon entry, visitors are led past the study into a gorgeous country-style kitchen. This is where the first of two fireplaces can be found.

A charming servery window looks out from the kitchen into the dining room beyond, where soft carpets are plush underfoot.

Defining the lounge is the second fireplace, nestled into an impressive exposed brick hearth. Warm pendant lighting adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Holm Park’s spacious master bedroom is attached to a luxurious ensuite, complete with a clawfoot bathtub and floor-to-ceiling tiles.

Just a few steps further reveals a huge walk-in wardrobe, big enough for its own vintage armchair.

The second bedroom and bathroom are centrally located and have plenty of natural light. A separate laundry, found on the front deck by the entry, is equipped with an extra toilet.

Almost everything indoors is up for negotiation, including antique fittings and furnishings hand-picked for Holm Park by the current owner.

Outdoor entertainers will love the covered patio, which can be accessed from the lounge or either bedroom. It offers a relaxed space for entertainers to host family and friends and a stunning view across lush countryside to the nearby mountain ranges.

Once outdoors, Steve says visitors are immediately drawn to a gazebo-style creative studio tucked into the landscaped gardens.

“The studio was custom-made and has been dearly loved; the owner wants to build another one just like it,” he says.

“I love that it shares the house’s colour scheme. So does the double garage, which comes with a tidy workshop and the boat or caravan shed.

“The whole property flows so nicely, it’s very put-together. That’s a great drawcard for any buyer.”

Holm Park’s original timber outbuildings border the shed, already stabilised and ready to be used for whatever the new owner’s heart desires.

The surrounding gardens are dotted with mature plantings, including fruit trees and Australian natives. They provide shelter for a chicken coop, raised veggie beds and various romantic sitting areas.

Bodalla is a historic dairy village about 2.5 hours from Canberra.

Surrounded by rolling pastures yet just 10 km from the ocean at Potato Point, this little town offers a unique blend of country hospitality and coastal charm.

Steve has lived in Bodalla for more than two decades. He describes the community as relaxed and genuine, a friendly mix of generational farmers, artists, retirees and young families.

“We’ve got great food, music and arts culture here. There’s a lot of history as well,” Steve says.

“Beautifully renovated, historic homes are always a joy to work with, but this one is particularly special.

“I think whoever purchases Holm Park will do so because they fall in love at first sight and simply couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.”

Holm Park at 160 Eurobodalla Road in Bodalla is priced at $2,150,000. For more information or to book a private inspection, contact Steve Hutcheson on 0407 226 603. Keeping an eye on the market? Check out all the latest listings on Zango.
