The Canberra Times reports that for the cost of a statue of Al Grassby, the Balloon Fiesta has been cut back from a nine day event to a four day event.
Don’t you love this Government which gives you less of what you want and more of what you don’t?

Nothing odd about them merging (not as if they were really separate anyway), it was just amusing that the balloon still has the old logos. However I’m sure it costs a small fortune to advertise on hot air balloons, and I can understand it not being updated.
And I thought the paragraph was self-explanatory…
Hey, SGS, what was so odd about the all the banks joining together?
None taken Thumper, it wasn’t meant to be serious anyway…just a bit of fun when the balloon came very close to a building.
Here’s the link if you want to know what bonfire is going on about.
peopel should go to sgs site anfd look at his expose on baloons attacking civic.
he and his dog and the captain and the thompson twins raced around civic capturing evidence of this unprovoked balloon attack.
SGS – you need to understand that CT need to wait for someone else to publish the news first.. otherwise they don’t publish it.
wtf is a balloon fiesta anyway ?
Took them (CT) long enough, the four day event has been advertised on the Balloon Fiesta website for weeks, possibly months.
Any truth in the rumour that one of the balloons will be in the shape of Mr Grassby?
I agree with johnboy and bonfire. Can a drunken threesome be far off?
