What a pity that the Department of Lands has decided today that the zebras have to go! Despite being a free tourist attraction and supporting driver safety by encouraging people to stop at the Driver Reviver, the four friends will be herded away quietly this weekend.

Bamboo harvester was apparently used as a promotional prop.

We need a site that snopes on snopes. In fact, never trust the internet….except for the Riotact. 🙂
Interestingly, Mr Ed was actually a zebra painted white to look like a horse!
Um, incorrect – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo_Harvester.
But Francis the talking Mule was actually a female mule. She just had a deep voice, so made out she was a male. Must have been hard for her so say “I’m Francis with an I”, knowing that she was a female mule. ¡ .~

Is Lake George Canberra?
It’s one of our favorite spots!
To up the antes, next will be rhinoceros or hippopotamus! Or it might be a Rex (George III)?
The sculptures a right next to a dam, and I thought it would be funny to have a lion sculpture stalking the zebras over the bank 🙂 It can be the Lake George African Savannah

Sigh! Not Canberra, but certainly Canberra region.
That looks great. Wouldn’t it be cool to see a whole zoo of animals out there.
I wish Chancellor Stanhope would buy us public art that’s as good as those Zebras.
Sure beats rusty bit of steel pretending to be grass.
I saw those yesterday! So cute! They’re actually quite life-like and you keep expecting them to go for a nibble of grass.
