i will ask him to send me a copy of an invoice or something similar. I know you can purchase a tank full of water to fill in your swimming pool and they get the water from ACTEW.

perhaps dams was the wrong word. maybe the pipes, filtration etc that is needed to provide water to all houses would suffice. Not too mnetion all the shiny leased vehicles that seem to clag up the pub carparks and TABs at lunchtime…

According to the Annual Report, the Water Abstraction Charge was increased from 25c to 55c/kL between the 05/06 and 06/07 financial years.

Get your mate to anonymously leak you a document that proves these claims.

that hasn’t started yet! Over the past 3 years, we’ve had water restrictions, yet the income is still the same. Like I said, i heard it from an employee of ACTEW. He was pretty pissed off about it.

How about… the increased charges?

off course their revenue will be at 1.8%! Since they are getting less money from people due to water restriction, they’re selling water to bring it up to the 1.8%!!!!! How else can they explain that people are using less water, but they’re still bringing in the same money!

…that reminds me, I should go turn off the lawn sprinklers. I forgot they were broken and pointed at the concrete.

Up in Brisneyland, we were on Level 6 restrictions, no watering anything, 4 minute showers (unenforcable really) right of entry for inspectors if your household is deemed to use excessive quantities of water etc.
