How now Hari Hari?

Last time I asked a Hari friend in sydney a couple of years ago, he told me there wasn’t a free feed in Canberra except for members. Also Govinda’s is a private business associated with the Hari’s, that sells the same food and also screens independent movies usually as well in their restaurants, this is different to the Hari temples though where *usually* anyone can get a free feed and they just ask for donations, or in the case of the one in melbourne city, its for a fixed fee for people with an income or free with health care card, pension card, etc…

I will enquire again with my friend though if anything has changed in regards to feeds at the temple here though since I last asked.

There were Hare Krishnas doing fantastic vegetarian food at the Woden Community Festival back in October.
I think the ashram on Limestone Ave sometimes sets up a free food service for the homeless people walking up to Ainslie Village, but not sure when/how often.

Dunno about then being out & about, but my neighbours down the other end of the village have their sing song every now & then.

I am pretty sure they do a meal at least once a week either at the youth centre in civic or one of the community buildings – at least they used to many years ago.

I have seen them doing their thing (dancing, chanting etc) in Garema Place, but I don’t know of any Govinda’s type restaurants. I wish there was one though.

They used to come onto campus at the ANU and sell (for a fee so low that it was almost nominal) vegetarian food once a week. That was back in the mid-90s though.

There’s one on Limestone Avenue, in Ainslie – the signage is pretty discreet, though, and I’ve never actually seen them out and about like in Brisbane.
