The National Capital Authority is warning that they’re torching off excess fuel loads around Yarralumla on Sunday, and not the planned Saturday.
The National Capital Authority advises the control burn of the Stirling Ridge Conservation Management Area scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed to Sunday.
Weather permitting, the NCA will now conduct the control burn around West Lake in Yarralumla from 11am.
The burn is designed to reduce fire fuel loads. This burn is to create strategic fuel reduced areas where fire-fighters can safely fight wildfires if they occur in this area.
