I am wondering if anyone else is having as much frustration as I am with trying to find parking at the O’Connor shops?
The carpark is always full of customers of restaurants/bars in the precinct, and the queue to getting a park is awkward and at times blocks traffic. And then tonight I couldn’t even find a park along David St, and there were cars parked in the middle of the road on Bluebell St.
People should be able to access the supermarket, pharmacy, and post office without having to drive around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to finish their food. The nearby restaurants/bars are clearly doing well for themselves, and if they are a non-essential commercial business that expects to attract a large number of people, they should be required to fund alternative parking.
Rant over. But seriously if others feel the same about this situation please let me know, I was going to ring the ACT Government but I thought I’d try to determine if it’s actually a concern to anyone else.
Cheers,
Shaun
